Hi Harry
Well, I have to say it...amazing photos! You are truly painting a picture of the culture in Tibet and the feeling of stepping back in time.
I've read that there is more snow on Everest this spring than in 10 years. Should be a fun and challenging season.
Good luck to Thomas as he starts his ascent from BC. I know he is in good hands. MC
p.s. I have been following the situation in Kathmandu and Nepal. It is indeed very sad. I hope there will be some compromises from all parties involved...sooner than later.

Harry - quick update on situation in Nepal. You may have already heard this news. King Gyanendra has returned the power to Nepal’s people – democracy is restored in the country. Addressing the nation this evening, the King said he has handed executive powers to the people as per Article 35 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal 1990, according to Kantipur Online. The King has called the seven-party alliance to recommend the name of a consensus Prime Minister as soon as possible.

#1.1.2 Romke
CNN: "Heavy rain and a strong police presence doused a protest Saturday by about 200,000 marchers who headed toward the palace in another show of opposition to the absolute rule of Nepal's King Gyanendra..."
I'm glad you guys made it all to Tibet safely. We watched some German backpackers on TV who joined the protests in KTM. Is does shows compassion, but I'm not sure if that's a very wise thing to do.
Wonderfull pix Har! I can see your new camera has recovered from that nightmare in KTM and is now having a ball!
