Where does our donation go? Will you get anything from our donation?
If you use the online donation site from Globalgiving.com (see the Charity page, all links go there), then 100% of your donation will go to the Globalgiving.com, who distributes it to the chose charities.
Globalgiving.com takes a small percentage of the donations to cover costs (they are funded by charities themselves as well). So at least 90-95% of your donation ends up directly at the projectmanager of the charity.
The climbing and filming team gets nothing if you donate using the Charity page and online form, all donations will be send directly to the charities. Though we are professionals and produce documentaries for a living, this climb is a major investment for us; we will need quite a lot of funding to get the documentary edited; we will try to sell and show the documentary afterwards to get paid for our work.
Do you want to sponsor the team? Have your flag at the summit of Everest or your gear in a supporting role in our documentary? Do you want a private or corporate screening of the Documentary with an exclusive lecture by the team? If you want to donate gear, funding etc to the climbing team to cover their costs (flights gear, permits, oxygen etc), please let us know through the feedback form below.
All major sponsors (both for the charity as well as for the team) will be named in reports, on this site and maybe even taken to the summit of Everest!
