Everest is expensive!
Why does it take 2 months to climb Everest? When will you go for the summit?
This long time is the same for everybody, it does not matter if you have good vision or not. If you would go from sealevel to the summit of Everest, you would be in a coma within minutes and die a few minutes later!
In order to climb such a high mountain your body needs to acclimatise. This means, go up slowly (about a week to get to Basecamp, though it is only 1.5 days of driving), go up a bit more and then down again to rest and recover.
This process takes about 4-6 weeks, and then we still have to await a few days of good weather. This 'Weather Window' had appeared later and later or not at all the past years, so it is hard to predict an exact date where we wil go for the summit, but it is likely end of May or even beginning of June!
